We’re excited to be participating in the upcoming tradeshow to be held at Eden Park, Auckland on 25 September 2018.

Come see us at our booth and get a close up look at how FDPro is changing the way funeral homes do business.

The Property Register has now been installed across all clients and the feedback has been great.

We’ve also updated the handling of Next Of Kin information by adding a Primary Contact. This will enhance the communication between funeral director and client families, ensuring information gets to the right person.

Following the recent conference and great user feedback, we’re putting the final touches on 4 new features:

  1. Debt reporting and recovery improvements – we’re making it easier to see who owes you money and when the last payment to an invoice was – this is something Xero has never done well, so we’re well on the way to adding this feature to FDPro. This means a debt collector won’t need access to your Xero account to chase overdue bills on your behalf.
  2. Signs – my pet project to deliver an improved experience to our client families. The sign is a simple Android TV box or old PC connected to a cheap tv that displays a webpage. The webpage is a portrait picture of the deceased with their name (customisable) along the bottom of the screen. We’ve been using this in our Chapel foyer with a great response from families, so doing this in the viewing room is bound to help us stand out from the competition. And best of all it’s very simple to use. Just make a viewing booking in the FDPro Calendar, choose the corresponding viewing room and it will magically appear on the screen at the right time. It even changes automatically at the start of the next viewing.
  3. Property Register – Multiple signature capture for ashes, donations and personal belongings. This lets users capture multiple signatures for ashes – e.g. of they are split and are signed out by different people. Same goes for jewellery and donations.
  4. NOK and Account to improvements – soon you’ll be able to choose a solicitor from a dropdown list (linked to the CONTACT pages) rather than type the solicitors name and address every time. Also, we’re adding a “Primary Contact” field to give users more flexibility.

All these features are currently being tested and will be rolled out once we’ve identified and fixed any bugs.
